Hello,
As you are probably aware, SRHS and ArtQuest are closed due to the recent wildfires; we do not know yet when we will be able to return or re-open school. Also, some of our AQ faculty/staff/volunteers are still evacuated and/or have suffered damage to or have lost their home, so we are not yet sure when our full staff will be on hand. Many of us are still not able to get to Santa Rosa from other locations, so that is another issue hampering us. For now, this is the situation:
Shadowing appointments will not be kept nor any new appointments made at this point. We will decide how to handle this once we are able to return to work and can regroup and consider our options. It is very possible that our typical routines and offerings will have to be substantially revised. Also, once we are able, we will contact all parties who have already scheduled a Shadowing appointment and anyone who is still trying to make one, to communicate what we have decided we are able to do. As I know you'll understand, our priority must be to get our current students re-engaged in their curricular studies and progress.
AQ Entry Packets for Fall 2018 entry were first available the evening of the AQ Fall Showcase on Thurs., Oct. 5th and we spent Fri., Oct. 6th cleaning up from the Showcase event the night before! That was the last day we were at school. We are working to get the Entry Packet on the website soon but so far, it is not available there nor elsewhere. We will also be working to get some hard copies of the Packet to the Main Office of SRHS, but again that is not possible quite yet.
Other AQ Events/Performances are subject to change. Please contact us when school and the AQ Office reopens about these.
I will check my email intermittently as I can, however will probably be able to reply only to urgent messages for now.
Thank you so much for your patience and for your interest in ArtQuest. We appreciate your understanding and support very much. On behalf of all the ArtQuest community, I send my best hopes for your safety and well-being.
